What I'm Learning

Some people are not made for blogging.
I was reading a young mother's blog the other day, and she has stopped blogging for the I-don't-know-how-many-eth-time.
She finds herself bored and discontent...
uninspired to teach or play with her children...
or love her husband.

Yet, in the world of the blog, she has been fairly prolific.

I like her.
She's honest.
And I think I am probably a lot like her.

The truth is, I don't really enjoy this blogging thing.
I don't think what I am doing here is going to leave any lasting impression.
I have blogged before, under my real name, with purpose.
That purpose was fulfilled sooner than I thought it would be, but
I kept writing.

Writing to no purpose, or beyond a purpose is not a good idea.

This blog does have purpose.
It's helping work out my turmoil, release some angst, and
free me up for what I'm really supposed to be writing,
or cooking, or sewing, or painting, or playing, or hugging, or training, or teaching, or ....
you get the picture.

So I won't be doing this forever, I don't think.
The day I shut off the lights here and close the door
will be a good day.
I look forward to it.
